Dear Praying Friends,

Just an update on the opportunites with the Broomes family, as well as another matter of prayer...

Philip Broome is evidently failing more and more physically. As I shared some time ago, he has made a profession, but there is so much "extra baggage" as far as what he has fallen for in various belief systems that I don't really know what to make of it. I just visited him last week, and had a good conversation with him, and left him with some reading material, but nothing SPECTACULAR to speak of has happened. We are still hoping their eyes will be opened to the Gospel. I probably won't email update on this situation again unless there is a change to which we can all rejoice in together.

The other matter is for this Saturday. We are planning a "Harvest Supper". As you may be aware, the Welsh do not have a Thanksgiving Day (I know, this is hard to imagine!). But there is a custom for some to have a special meal among those that go to chapel. We have encouraged those in the chapel to invite their friends and family in, and many have. They've never done this for outreach before, and there has already been some confusion with it (of course it is over the food! It is a Baptist church). In trying to work with a church, we are trying to teach them their place in the Lord's work by giving them an opportunity to reach those closest to them as they progress as a NT church. 

Please pray that the supper will go well, and be well attended, and that there will be some there whose hearts are prepared for the Gospel. We'll let you know how it turns out - even if it flops! We've already had the lady bringing the bread to drop out!! "Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?"
